Kota – Responding to a long-standing healthcare gap in the Kenda region, Kota MLA Atal Shrivastav secured an assurance for a new 108 ambulance after a direct phone request to Chhattisgarh Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal during a meeting of the Jeevan Deep Samiti on Tuesday.
During the meeting, committee members highlighted the severe shortage of ambulance services in Kenda, which has been preventing timely medical access for residents. Acting immediately, Shrivastav called the minister from the meeting venue, requesting that a new ambulance be sanctioned for the area. The minister assured that the vehicle would be provided within a month.

Shrivastav also urged that committee funds be utilised for essential needs such as medicines, sanitation, hospital beds, stretchers, and wheelchairs. He stressed the importance of maintaining hospital cleanliness, ensuring the availability of essential drugs, and mandating the presence of doctors and staff at all times.
The MLA further suggested that the under-construction Community Health Centre be inspected jointly by officials and public representatives to ensure its timely and well-organised completion.
Members present at the meeting called for concrete steps to improve patient facilities, address resource shortages, and raise the quality of healthcare services. Shrivastav directed officials to prioritise action on all complaints and suggestions.
