Raipur: Investigating agencies have arrested in connection with a case related to alleged irregularities in the District Mineral Foundation (DMF) fund. The arrest was made on February 23, 2026, following a detailed investigation in Crime No. 02/2024 registered by the Bureau.
According to officials, the probe yielded significant digital evidence, documents, and statements indicating that the accused played an active role in facilitating the allocation of DMF-funded works to select firms in return for commissions. Investigators allege that these activities were carried out through acquaintances, relatives, and close associates, with similar arrangements spanning multiple districts.
Based on the material collected, the agency has prima facie established offences related to misuse of public funds, criminal conspiracy, and corrupt practices. The accused was produced before a competent court, which granted police remand until February 26, 2026.
Officials said the investigation is ongoing and further disclosures are expected.
