Aakarshi Kashyap Clinches Silver at Lagos International Classics, Supported by NTPC Korba
India’s promising badminton star Aakarshi Kashyap, proudly supported by NTPC Korba under its CSR initiative, has made the nation proud by winning the Silver Medal at the prestigious Lagos International Classics 2025.
Aakarshi showcased exceptional resilience and skill throughout the tournament. She overcame Korea’s Ga Eun Park in the quarterfinals and staged a strong comeback in the semifinals by defeating an Indonesian opponent to whom she had previously lost in Cameroon.
In the final match, after playing four back-to-back matches, Aakarshi gave a spirited performance, narrowly missing the gold but securing a commendable silver.
Expressing her gratitude, Aakarshi said, “This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the constant support from NTPC Korba and my well-wishers. The experience here motivates me to keep working harder and aim for greater success.”
Aakarshi’s next challenge is the Vietnam International Series, scheduled from September 9 to 14, 2025, where she aims to continue her stellar form and bring more glory to the country.
