Mungeli (Chhattisgarh) : In a heartfelt gesture of humanitarian service under the Annapurna Campaign led by Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj, basic necessities were extended to a visually impaired elderly man in the Mungeli district. The initiative provided critical support to 67-year-old Pritam Patel, a resident of Kirna village, Pandarbhatha post, Mungeli block.

Living in extreme poverty, Patel is completely blind, without any source of income, property, or family support. Deprived of benefits from government welfare schemes, he had long survived on the mercy of others. With no land, no savings, and no livestock, even basic needs had become a daily struggle.

Recognising the urgency of his condition, volunteers under the Annapurna Campaign provided him with sufficient food supplies, essential clothing, and a comfortable bed. This assistance was delivered in line with the campaign’s motto: “Food, Clothing, Education, and Shelter — to be granted to all by Supreme God Kabir.”

This initiative stands not just as a momentary act of charity but as a committed effort to restore dignity and provide a sustainable quality of life to those most in need. Across India, followers of Saint Rampal Ji are actively working to ensure the last person in the societal chain receives vital support — not merely as an act of donation, but as a movement toward social equality and compassion.

The support extended to Pritam Patel underscores how organized and empathetic community efforts can bring about meaningful change in society. The Annapurna Campaign continues to expand its reach, aiming to eradicate hunger, homelessness, and illiteracy from all corners of the country.

Key volunteers who contributed to the service effort include: Tarun Das Bhaskar, Murli Gabel, Vishwanath Sahu, Akash Bhaskar, Bhagwat Sahu, Bedram Sahu, Dujaram Sahu, and Rakesh Gabel among others.
