Raipur : The rising menace of drug addiction is not just destroying individual lives but also tearing apart families and communities. Highlighting this harsh reality, a new awareness-based song “Karte Hain Jo Nasha” from the upcoming social film “Gangs of Raipur” was launched on October 14 in Raipur.

The film, which portrays the unseen struggles of addiction within society, is more than just a creative venture — it is a wake-up call urging people to recognize that intoxication is never an option, only a path to ruin.

Gangs of Raipur depicts how addiction corrodes a person’s thoughts, dignity, and relationships. Yet, it does not confine itself to despair — it carries a message of hope and recovery, emphasizing that “life can always be rebuilt with determination.”

Rooted in the bitter truths of society, the film echoes the pain of countless families who have lost their happiness to substance abuse. The project is led by Creative Director and Producer Sajid Khan, Director and Co-Producer Shiv Kumar, and Co-Producer Deepesh Kukreja, who consider it a social responsibility rather than a commercial venture. They believe the film will inspire young people to realize that addiction is never a solution — it’s the beginning of destruction.

The awareness event was held at Vimtara Hall, Shanti Nagar, Indravati Colony, Raipur, from 3 PM to 6 PM, and was attended by members from various social backgrounds.

A dedicated team of young talents worked on the film, aiming to create social impact rather than profit. Their objective is clear — to warn youth about the dangers of addiction, motivate families to support recovery, and promote a drug-free, healthy society.

The producers emphasized that addiction has now grown beyond being a personal issue; it is a social crisis. Every day, countless lives are being lost to this poison. Through Gangs of Raipur, the team sends out a powerful message — “Drugs never solve problems; they always begin destruction.”

Renowned Chhattisgarhi poet Meer Ali Meer also graced the occasion, reciting his poetry that vividly reflected the current social realities of the state.

The event concluded with a resounding message — if we truly value life, we must distance ourselves from addiction and work collectively toward a healthier, drug-free society.
