Sipat : Shri Swapan Kumar Mandal, Chief General Manager (CGM), assumed charge as the Head of Project (HOP) at NTPC Sipat with effect from 01 January 2025. With a distinguished career spanning over 34 years at NTPC, Shri Mandal has held several key positions and demonstrated strong leadership across multiple functions.
A postgraduate (M. Tech) in Telecommunication & Radar from Calcutta University, he began his journey with NTPC in 1991 as an Executive Trainee. Over the years, he has contributed significantly in critical domains including Operations, Planning and System (P&S), and Project Construction. His professional journey includes impactful roles at NTPC Rihand and Unchahar. He has also attended more than 40 specialised trainings and workshops, strengthening his expertise and organisational capability.
On the occasion of taking charge, senior officials, employees, unions and associations extended their greetings and congratulated Shri Mandal on assuming the role of Head of Project at Chhattisgarh’s largest power station. With his vast experience and strategic vision, NTPC Sipat will continue to achieve new milestones in operational excellence, project execution, and sustainable initiatives for society.
