On National Sports Day, Bilaspur Runs, Union Minister Tokhan Sahu Joins Marathon with Youth

On the occasion of National Sports Day, Bilaspur’s CMD Chowk echoed with a sporting spirit this morning. At the All India Marathon held here, Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs Mr. Tokhan Sahu participated, witnessed the enthusiasm of youth and sports lovers, and ran step by step with them. With the presence of thousands of participants, this marathon not only highlighted the importance of sports but also conveyed the message of building a healthy and energetic society. Addressing the marathon, the Union Minister said that sports are not only a means of physical fitness but also a way to develop discipline, self-confidence, and team spirit in life. He said that taking Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi’s ‘Fit India, Hit India’ campaign to every household is the greatest need of the hour.
Youth, athletes, women, and senior citizens enthusiastically participated in the marathon. On this occasion, Beltara MLA Mr. Sushant Shukla, Bilaspur Mayor Mrs. Pooja Vidhani, along with a large number of public representatives and citizens, marked their inspirational presence and added to the significance of the event. Seeing the enthusiasm of the players, Minister Mr. Sahu said that Bilaspur is rapidly creating a new identity in the field of sports and health. He appealed to the youth to adopt sports not only as a competition but as a way of life.
From early morning, the city’s streets witnessed an atmosphere filled with energy and enthusiasm during the marathon. Participants spread the message of fitness and unity. The organizing committee believes that such events will prove to be a milestone in attracting youth towards sports and in increasing health awareness in society.
