• Training and Interactive Sessions Conducted at Civil Engineering Dept and Universal Rail Mill
An annual Safety Awareness Programme was organized in the Civil Engineering Department (Operations) under the Mechanical Zone of SAIL – Bhilai Steel Plant. Through this programme, special emphasis was laid on compliance with workplace safety standards, hazard identification, and strengthening employees’ responsibility towards safety.
The programme was attended by Chief Guest Chief General Manager In-charge (Maintenance & Utilities) Shri B. K. Behera, and Distinguished Guests Chief General Manager (Mechanical) Shri Pramod Kumar, General Manager (Safety Engineering Department) Shri S. Sunov, and Head of Department & General Manager Shri B. N. Jha, along with a large number of departmental officers and employees. Further Safety Week was also organized at the Universal Rail Mill (URM) of SAIL – Bhilai Steel Plant with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and administration of the safety pledge.
The inaugural function was attended by Executive Director (Works) Shri Rakesh Kumar, as the Chief Guest along with Distinguished Guest as Chief General Manager (Safety & Fire Services) Shri Debadatta Satpathy, and General Manager In-charge (URM) Shri Vishal Gupta.
The dignitaries present highlighted the importance of safety at the workplace and urged all employees to strictly follow safety rules, standard operating procedures, and safe work practices. They emphasized that vigilance, discipline, and personal responsibility are essential for accident prevention, and that achieving the goal of “Zero Accidents” is possible only through collective participation.
