“Addiction Destroys More Than the Body — It Consumes Life Itself,” says upcoming film ‘Gangs of Raipur’

• Social awareness song ‘Karte Hain Jo Nasha’ to be released on October 14
Raipur : The growing menace of drug addiction is not only destroying individual health but also tearing apart the happiness of families. Bringing these harsh realities to the screen, the upcoming film Gangs of Raipur will release its awareness-based song ‘Karte Hain Jo Nasha’ on October 14 in Raipur.

More than just a cinematic work, Gangs of Raipur serves as a stark reminder that addiction can never be an option—it is a warning to society about a crisis silently spreading around us. The film portrays how substance abuse erodes one’s mind, dignity, and relationships, but also offers a message of hope and recovery. Its central theme asserts that “life can be rebuilt, if one has the determination to change.”
Rooted in real-life social truths, the film echoes the anguish of families whose joy has been destroyed by addiction. Conceptualised as a social responsibility, the project has been led by Creative Director–Producer Sajid Khan, Director–Co-Producer Shiv Kumar, and Co-Producer Deepesh Kukreja, who believe the film will compel youth to think—addiction is never a solution, it’s the beginning of destruction.
The awareness event will take place at Vimtara Hall, Shanti Nagar, Indravati Colony, Raipur, from 3 PM to 6 PM on October 14.
The film has been produced by a dedicated team of young talents, driven not by commercial motives but by a mission to inspire social change. Its purpose is clear: to warn youth about the dangers of addiction, encourage families to support de-addiction efforts, and promote a culture of sobriety and health across society.
The makers emphasize that addiction is no longer a personal issue—it has become a social crisis claiming hundreds of lives every day. Through this project, they aim to reinforce the message that “addiction is never a solution—it is always the beginning of ruin.”
Ultimately, ‘Karte Hain Jo Nasha’ reminds us that true love for life means choosing to stay away from addiction—and helping others do the same. The launch event will be attended by prominent citizens, social representatives, and government officials.
