11 mega multi-speciality health camps to reach more than 30,000 people across 16 villages
Raikheda : In view of the need for better healthcare services in rural areas, the Adani Foundation has launched a Mega Health Camp campaign. As part of the social healthcare initiative of Adani Power Limited, Raipur, a Mega Multi-Speciality Health Camp was organised at Raikheda village on Saturday. More than 450 villagers availed themselves of free healthcare services on the first day of the initiative.
The objective of the initiative is to make consultation and treatment by specialist doctors easily accessible to rural residents in villages in and around their locality.
The camp was inaugurated by Adani Power’s Chief Business Officer (CBO), Mr Ramayanam Peddana, Sarpanch Mr Dinesh Verma and Deputy Sarpanch Mr Bhojraj Dheewar, along with prominent village residents Mr Devvrat Nayak, Mr Thakur Ram Verma, Mr Maruti Nandan Verma, Mr Babulal Sahu and Mr Santosh Kurre.
Panchayat members of Gram Panchayat Raikheda, Adani Power’s Head of Human Resources Mr Nageshwar Rao Teneti, Mr Debashish Das and local residents were also present on the occasion.
Specialist doctors in orthopaedics, paediatrics, gynaecology and obstetrics, general medicine and MD Medicine examined the villagers and provided the necessary medical advice. Health examinations, consultations with doctors and essential medicines were made available to patients completely free of cost.
Women, children, youth and senior citizens also participated actively in the camp. Doctors examined patients for various health-related problems and provided necessary treatment and health-related information. Villagers welcomed the initiative and appreciated it as a useful healthcare service for the region.
The Adani Foundation will organise a total of 11 Mega Multi-Speciality Health Camps with the objective of taking better healthcare facilities to rural communities. Through these camps, more than 30,000 residents across 16 villages located around the Adani Power plant are expected to benefit directly.
The Adani Foundation’s initiative is aimed not only at connecting rural residents with specialist healthcare services but also at creating greater health awareness and facilitating timely examination and treatment. Local residents and public representatives described the initiative as an important step towards strengthening healthcare services in rural areas.
