Raipur : Adani Foundation, under the CSR initiative of Adani Power Ltd., Raikheda, successfully organised the ‘Utthan’ Educational Material Distribution and Environmental Protection Programme at Government Higher Secondary School, Moora, in Tilda development block. The event aimed to empower rural students with modern learning and sports resources while fostering awareness towards environmental sustainability.
As part of the initiative, 40 schools—including high schools, middle schools, primary and new primary schools in Moora—received a 75-inch Samsung interactive panel, modern sound system, special books for Navodaya entrance exam, school bags, diaries, notebooks, along with sports kits containing cricket, football, volleyball, badminton, and carrom equipment. This endeavour is set to benefit over 4,500 students, including more than 300 from Moora village alone.

Alongside educational support, Adani Foundation also organised a 15-day Environment Protection Fortnight across its 16 adopted villages. During this campaign, over 5,000 students were provided with 15,000 fruit-bearing saplings for plantation in their homes and courtyards. In Moora, the concluding ceremony saw 400 students receiving two saplings each, followed by a community plantation drive led by senior officials — Mr. Sudhakar Tandon (Chief Business Officer, APL-Raipur), Mr. G. Muralidharan (Project Head), and Mr. Gopal Singh Devora (Zonal Head, APL MP & Chhattisgarh).
The programme also featured cultural performances, including Saraswati Vandana, Chhattisgarhi folk dance, and traditional songs, which were highly appreciated by the dignitaries present.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sudhakar Tandon said, “Education and sports are both essential to give wings to the dreams of rural children. With dedication and hard work, you all can achieve success.”

Mr. G. Muralidharan highlighted the value of sports, saying, “Sports teach us discipline, patience, and team spirit. A balance of academics and games is the key to success in life.”
Mr. Gopal Singh Devora emphasised environmental responsibility: “Education must go hand in hand with preserving nature. Plant trees, nurture them, and make your village greener.”
Moora Sarpanch Mrs. Kanchan Gaikwad expressed gratitude to the Adani Foundation and urged for continued support in the field of education. The guests were honoured with traditional shawls and fruits by the village panchayat.
The event emerged as a remarkable confluence of education, sports, and environmental stewardship, setting an inspiring example for the entire region.
