NTPC Sipat Celebrates 77th Republic Day with Grandeur and Patriotic Fervour

Sipat : The 77th Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and dignity at NTPC Sipat on January 26, 2026. On this occasion, the Project Head and Chief Guest, Shri Swapan Kumar Mandal, unfurled the National Flag. Following the flag unfurling, the National Anthem was sung collectively along with the students of Bal Bharati Public School. Thereafter, the Chief Guest inspected the parade by CISF personnel and Bal Bharati Public School students, who presented an impressive march past.

Addressing the gathering, Shri Swapan Kumar Mandal extended heartfelt greetings on the 77th Republic Day to officers, employees, their family members, and students present on the occasion. Highlighting the significance of Republic Day, he stated that NTPC, India’s largest power generating company, remains committed to meeting the nation’s energy requirements while contributing to national and social development.
Emphasizing safety as the highest priority, he highlighted NTPC Sipat’s performance in power generation and operational excellence, and appreciated the notable contributions of various departments. He further informed that the construction work of the upcoming 800 MW project is progressing at a rapid pace.

The Chief Guest appreciated the creative and positive contributions of the CSR Department, Sangwari Mahila Samiti, all unions and associations, Indian Coffee House, Bal Bharati Public School, State Bank of India–Sipat Branch, Ujjwal Post Office, and all supporting agencies.
On the occasion, General Managers, and other distinguished guests, along with the President and office bearers of Sangwari Mahila Samiti and representatives of unions and associations, released balloons symbolizing joy and celebration.

As part of the cultural programme, students from Tiny Blossom Play School, Bal Bhavan, Disha Centre, Bal Bharati Public School, Government Middle School Raliya, Higher Secondary School Janji, Government Middle School Devari, and Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Sipat, presented patriotic dances and songs.
This was followed by an impressive display of tableaux by departments including Operation, Projects, BMD, Ash Utilization, Turbine Maintenance, Boiler Maintenance, CHP, MGR, MM Offsite, and O&M (Civil). During the programme, employees who rendered outstanding performance were honoured with the “Meritorious Award,” Special Achievers Award, and awards for tableaux presentation.

The programme was attended by Smt. Shikha Mandal, President, Sangwari Mahila Samiti; Shri Kapil Sudhakar Kamdi, Deputy Commandant, CISF; Shri Shalabh Nigam, Principal, Bal Bharati Public School; office bearers of unions and associations; senior officers and employees; CISF personnel; residents of Ujjwal Nagar; and people from nearby villages in large numbers.

Earlier, at the Stage-I Service Building Complex, Shri Surojit Sinha, General Manager (Operation & Maintenance), unfurled the National Flag and extended Republic Day greetings to employees. He also paid floral tribute to Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, recalling his invaluable contribution to the Constitution of India.

Similarly, at the Bal Bhavan complex, Smt. Shikha Mandal unfurled the National Flag and extended Republic Day greetings to the members of Sangwari Mahila Samiti and children of Tiny Blossom Play School, Bal Bhavan, and Disha Centre.
