NTPC Sipat organised a seminar at Bilaspur on various ash-based products to promote their effective, efficient and environment-friendly use in building construction. The event was inaugurated by Shri Sanjay Agrawal, DM & Collector Bilaspur; Shri Rajnesh Singh, SSP; Shri Amit Kumar, IAS & Commissioner Nagar Nigam; Shri V. K. Pandey, HOP NTPC Sipat; and Shri Sushil Pateria, President CREDAI, through lamp lighting and cutting of a specially designed brick-shaped cake. During the seminar, senior authorities from PWD, CPWD, Nagar Nigam, CREDAI, Bilaspur Building Association, Railways, along with architects, contractors and representatives from RMC plants, discussed the use of various ash-based products such as bricks, interlocking wall blocks, aggregates of different sizes and densities, paver blocks, floor tiles, park benches, park tables, and more. The event concluded with remarks by Shri Surojit Sinha, GM (O&M), NTPC Sipat. The promotional event was highly successful in showcasing NTPC Sipat’s efforts toward environmental conservation through wider adoption of ash-based products.
