Raipur : In a significant moment for Chhattisgarh’s industry and global business outreach, Dr Abhishek Pandey of Refracast Metallurgicals Pvt Ltd has been named the only representative from the entire state invited to attend the prestigious Russia–India Forum being organised parallel to the Russia–India Summit 2025 in New Delhi on December 4 and 5. The high-level Forum will be attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with senior government officials, diplomats, policy strategists, and business leaders from both nations.
The Forum is being organised by the Roscongress Foundation, Russia’s largest institution for hosting international economic and diplomatic conventions. Its central objective is to deepen bilateral economic cooperation, open new pathways for business exchange, and address longstanding barriers in India–Russia commercial engagement.
The agenda prioritises key areas including the correction of bilateral trade imbalance, improving the presence of Indian goods in the Russian market, refining logistical routes, strengthening supply chain infrastructure, enhancing banking and settlement mechanisms for cross-border transactions, and building new avenues for technology collaboration and investment partnerships. Regional cooperation and emerging industrial sectors will also feature prominently during the session.
For Refracast Metallurgicals, the invitation extended to Dr Pandey is an important milestone in the company’s rising global footprint. In October 2025, he was part of the Indian delegation at the high-level Tri-Nation Business Dialogue held in Kaliningrad, Russia, where representatives discussed advanced industrial partnerships, strategic supply channels and new opportunities for export-driven growth. Last year, he represented the company at the BRICS Economic Forum in Moscow, engaging in sectoral consultations on sustainable industrial processing and advanced catalyst-recycling technologies.
According to Refracast Metallurgicals, Dr Pandey’s participation at the Russia–India Forum is expected to widen possibilities for Indian manufacturers and MSMEs seeking access to the Russian market. His presence also comes at a time when Indo-Russian economic cooperation is undergoing renewed momentum, with both sides exploring alternative trade routes, new settlement mechanisms, and expanded industrial collaboration.
A major highlight of the Forum will be the plenary session on December 4, which both President Putin and Prime Minister Modi are scheduled to address. The session is expected to set the strategic direction for future industrial engagement, trade diversification, and long-term investment linkages.
Refracast Metallurgicals stated that this invitation recognises both Dr Pandey’s professional expertise and the company’s long-standing commitment to innovation-based industrial solutions. With nearly three decades of experience in advanced metallurgical processing, spent-catalyst recycling, and zero-waste technologies, the Raipur-based firm has consistently positioned itself at the forefront of sustainable materials management and global industrial best practices.
Industry observers believe that Dr Pandey’s inclusion as the sole representative from Chhattisgarh underscores the state’s emerging contribution to India’s broader industrial and economic diplomacy. The company said the Forum will offer a valuable platform to promote Indo-Russian cooperation in high-value industrial segments and to highlight Indian technological capability on an international stage.
