Arvind Tiwari’s repor/Janjgir Champa – Shivrinarayan Police took prompt action and duly arrested two accused of committing a fatal attack over land distribution and produced them in the Honorable Court, from where they were sent to jail on judicial remand. According to the detailed information received in this regard from the Police Media Group, the applicant Sukhdev Kenwat, resident of Khorsi police station Shivrinarayan, was at his home on November 15 at around 7.30 pm when the accused Rajesh Kenwat made obscene remarks by saying how will you not give the land distributionHe started abusing and threatening to kill.On refusing, the applicant’s wife, who was standing there, was fatally attacked on the head with a boulder stone, causing serious injury. Again, accused Rajensh Kenwat repeatedly hit the applicant on his head with a stick with the intention of killing him, due to which the applicant suffered serious head injury and he fell on the ground. After that, both the accused and his father Bahru Kenwat together beat up uncle Amrit Kenwat and father Kholbahra Kenwat. If there had been no intervention, the accused Rajesh Kenwat and his father Bahru Kenwat would have murdered the applicant and his wife. On the report of the applicant, crime number 474/2024 was registered against the accused and investigation proceedings were taken up. Seeing the seriousness of the incident, Shivrinarayan police immediately reached the spot and inspected it under the direction of Vivek Shukla (IPS), Superintendent of Police, Janjgir ChampaUnder the able guidance of Additional Superintendent of Police Umesh Kashyap and SDOP Champa Yadumani Sidar, the accused were surrounded and caught, and memorandum statements were taken after interrogating them separately in connection with the incident. He admitted to committing a fatal attack with a boulder, stone and stick with the intention of killing over the dispute of not distributing the land and the stone and stick used in the incident were recovered from the possession of the accused. After finding evidence of Section 124 crime against the accused, Shivrinarayan police arrested them and produced them in the Honorable Court, from where they were sent to jail on judicial remand. In the above proceedings, sub-inspector Sagar Pathak police station in-charge Shivrinarayan, police officer Narendra Shukla, P.R. Tarikesh Pandey, constable Rajesh Kaushik, Vikash Sharma and Dilip Sande had commendable contribution.
