The second walk of the Raipur Heritage Walk series was organized on Sunday, 1st December in which people learned about the political heritage of the city.

Raipur । Organized in the name of Streets of Power, this walk was started from Gandhi Maidan which was used as a horse stable by the British and later Mahatma Gandhi addressed a rally here in 1933. People also visited Shukla Bhavan located at Budhapara and learned about the personality and personality of Pandit Ravi Shankar Shukla ji. Got informed about life and also got information about Swami Vivekananda ji’s 2 year stay in Raipur by visiting De Bhawan situated at some distance.
Conservation Architect, Nishtha Joshi narrated the journey of Swami Vivekananda from Kolkata to Raipur and talked about the difficulties he faced on the way, which 14 year old Narendra Nath himself had written in his diary. Even today, Bhootnath Dey’s house where Swamiji spent important years of his life is visible in the hustle and bustle of Raipur. I remain a witness to the history of this city. Raipur residents also visited the old Congress building. Shivam Trivedi informed the audience about the history of Congress and also shared the incidents that happened before and after independence in Raipur. To educate people about the history, archaeology, and culture of our city and state. With the aim of creating awareness, Heritage Walk is being organized every Sunday in different areas of Raipur city.
