The absconding main accused of committing fraud worth lakhs of rupees in the name of employment has been lodged in jail.

Janjgir Champa – The absconding main accused, who committed fraud of lakhs of rupees in the name of employment, was duly arrested by Shivrinarayan Police from Mumbai, Maharashtra and presented in the Honorable Court, from where he was sent to jail on judicial remand. Earlier in this case, arresting an accused and judicialHas been sent on remand. Giving detailed information in this regard, Additional Superintendent of Police Umesh Kashyap told Arvind Tiwari that the applicant Yashwant Banjare resident of Pachari police station Shivrinarayan had lodged a report in Shivrinarayan police station on 10 February 2023 last year that the accused Gopal KrishnaKashyap, a resident of Gangajal police station, Nawagarh, had told about his maternal uncle, accused Dharam Verma, who is resident of Mumbai and is well acquainted with the joining director of NMDC of Jagdalpur. Due to which the applicant, his brother Jashwant Banjare and his uncle’s son Bhai Rajkamal had demanded a total of Rs 20 lakh from all three for a job in NMDC Steel Plant Jagdalpur. Under the influence of accused Gopal Krishna Kashyap, he gave a total of Rs 16,15,000 in different installments through cash and phone pay. The accused called on 08 January 2023 saying that there is an interview in Gujarat but the interview did not take place, when asked he was sent back saying that the interview will take place later. Due to not getting the job, the accused are showing reluctance when demanding money back. On the report of the applicant, crime number 83/2023 section 420, 34 IPC was registered against the accused in Shivrinarayan police station and taken up for investigation. During the investigation, the accused in the case, Gopal Krishna Kashyap, was duly arrested on 11 February 2023 and sent on judicial remand. The main accused of the case, Dharam Verma, was continuously absconding since the date of report, who was caught by going to Mumbai and searching for his address under the direction of Vivek Shukla (IPS), Superintendent of Police, Janjgir Champa. Under the able guidance of Additional Superintendent of Police Umesh Kumar Kashyap, the accused was interrogated in connection with the fraud and a memorandum statement was taken, in which he admitted his crime. After finding evidence of crime under section 11 against the accused, Shivrinarayan police duly arrested him and produced him in the Honorable Court, from where he was sent to jail on judicial remand. In the above proceedings, the contribution of Sub Inspector Sagar Pathak police station incharge Shivrinarayan, Assistant Sub Inspector Narendra Shukla and constable Praveen Kumar Sahu was commendable.
