Balodabazar Bhatapara – A crime review meeting was held today by the district’s flamboyant Superintendent of Police Vijay Aggarwal. In which necessary guidelines were given to all the police station and outpost in-charges regarding the agenda-wise disposal of pending crime, challan, complaints etc. cases. First of all in the meeting, the Superintendent of Police said that now the winter season is coming in which the criminals involved in vandalism and theft are always on the lookout to commit crimes, hence the scope of patrolling should be increased. There should be regular patrolling and checking points in all police stations and outposts. He said that in order to maintain law and order in the district, along with checking the goons and vigilantes, they should also take bound over action against them every six months. Also, while interrogating suspicious persons, it is mandatory to take their fingerprints, especially in property related crimes. Apart from this, in cases of assault, along with preventive action, bound over action should also be taken. During the meeting he said that all of you provide new direction to the subordinate staff in the police station. Regularly hold meetings with the investigators posted in the police station, solve crimes and discuss with them regularly regarding the daily routine of the police station. Know their strengths and weaknesses and determine the work for each of them separately. Along with this, instructions were given by the Superintendent of Police to compulsorily close down all crime, complaint and death cases of more than three months duration by the end of this month. Sections of organized crime should be imposed against the accused who commit various types of crimes in the area, currently gang history proceedings have been conducted under these sections in Lavan and Kasdol police stations. In the prevention of crimes, action under the said crime is very important. He specifically said that along with arresting the accused involved in smuggling the illegal drug ganja, meaningful efforts should be made to arrest the accused involved in the entire channel of ganja smuggling. He also emphasized on taking action against the accused involved in ganja smuggling under the Pitt NDPS Act and taking appropriate action after obtaining complete details of their movable and immovable properties. During the meeting, it was asked to take action under as many restrictive and minor acts as possible. Meanwhile, while emphasizing on taking action against the scrap dealers in the area, he said that there are many big scrap dealers in the district, which should be checked regularly and effective action should be taken against the scrap dealers located in the area.
