Mungeli : On the fourth day of the ongoing Shivkatha–811, the town of Mungeli witnessed an overwhelming outpouring of devotion and spiritual energy. The event, led by renowned spiritual leader Pt. Giribapu, drew thousands of devotees who gathered at the venue from early morning, immersed in chants and prayers.
In his discourse, Pt. Giribapu elaborated on the virtues of Lord Shiva — compassion, renunciation, and justice. “Where there is true devotion, there is no room for fear. Shiva is not just a deity; he is a conscious energy that awakens within us,” he said, resonating deeply with the gathered audience.
The atmosphere turned profoundly spiritual as the congregation joined in the collective chanting of ‘Om Namah Shivaya’. People of all ages — elderly, youth, and children — listened intently, many visibly moved by the soulful bhajans and kirtans that accompanied the sermon.
Beyond its religious significance, the event emerged as a celebration of social unity, with entire families attending together and making efforts to connect the younger generation with Indian culture and values. Messages from the discourse — such as “speak the truth,” “practice restraint,” and “serve others” — struck a particular chord with the youth.
Even after the conclusion of the session, many devotees lingered, exchanging reflections on the spiritual teachings and their relevance to daily life. Organisers shared that upcoming sessions would include more divine narratives and encouraged attendees to arrive on time and maintain decorum.
The spiritual series, delivered by Pt. Giribapu, will continue until June 11.
