Bilaspur । “Anyone who breaks the law will not be spared!” — These were the firm words of Bilaspur Superintendent of Police (SP) Rajnesh Singh, who, with his unwavering strategy and stringent security arrangements, ensured that Bilaspur witnessed a peaceful and harmonious Holi.
With Holi festivities coinciding with Friday prayers this year, maintaining law and order was a significant challenge for the administration. However, SP Rajnesh Singh’s sharp vigilance, precise planning, and zero-tolerance approach transformed Bilaspur from a “Sensitive” to a “Sensible” city this Holi.
Bilaspur police had been on high alert since the previous night. Throughout the district, officers remained stationed without a break, ensuring a safe and peaceful celebration.
On the day of Holi, SP Rajnesh Singh personally took to the streets, patrolling key intersections and sensitive areas. He interacted with deployed officers, boosting their morale, and issued clear instructions to stay vigilant.
“Your dedication is what keeps Bilaspur safe. Your commitment is ensuring that citizens enjoy Holi with joy and security,” SP Rajnesh Singh told his officers.
Visiting every fixed point personally, SP Rajnesh Singh motivated his team and warned troublemakers with a stern message: “Anyone attempting to disturb the peace will face strict consequences.”
For over 24 hours, Bilaspur police maintained a relentless presence across the city, securing narrow lanes, bustling marketplaces, and vulnerable spots with unwavering commitment.
At every key religious site, busy street corners, and potential hotspots, security personnel maintained a sharp vigil. Suspicious individuals were closely monitored, preventing miscreants from attempting any disturbance.
ASP Archana Jha, probationary IPS Sumit Singh, and SDOP Nupur Upadhyay conducted intensive patrols in critical areas. In Kota, ASP Archana Jha’s team formed an impenetrable security shield that deterred potential troublemakers from even contemplating disruptive actions.
Citizens lauded Bilaspur police for their proactive approach and effective security arrangements.
One local resident remarked, “This time, it felt like police were present on every corner. We felt safe, and the entire festival remained joyful.”
A shopkeeper added, “Every year, some miscreants create chaos during Holi, but this time, they didn’t dare to show up. The police deserve full credit for their remarkable work.”
SP Rajnesh Singh made it clear: “Our priority is the peace and security of Bilaspur. If anyone tries to disrupt the harmony in the name of festivities or prayers, they will face strict action — no exceptions!”
While minor incidents did occur, SP Rajnesh Singh’s robust planning, persistent patrolling, and proactive policing ensured no major disturbances took place.
This exemplary management by Bilaspur police and SP Rajnesh Singh’s strategic leadership has now set a benchmark in law enforcement.
This Holi not only celebrated the festival of colours but also stood as a symbol of peace, harmony, and discipline — and the credit goes entirely to SP Rajnesh Singh and his dedicated team.
Bilaspur has proven that with the right leadership and unyielding vigilance, “Sensitive Bilaspur” can indeed become “Sensible Bilaspur.”
