Bilaspur । The annual Coal Mine Safety Fortnight 2024, organized from 18th November to 30th November 2024, was inaugurated by Chairman cum Managing Director Dr. on 18th November 2024 at the SECL Headquarters premises. “Ma Mryasyaah Ma Jahih, Shakyate Cha Mrityum Avluptaye” i.e. do not kill, do not die and if possible, end death itself, we all should not do any such thing knowingly or unknowingly. Due to which our lives or those of our companions may be in danger and the safety of all of us may be compromised. We will have to perform with this idea of responsibility. On this occasion, the Directors and CVOs in their respective speeches also highlighted the role of Safety Fortnight in increasing awareness towards safety. On this occasion, initially the guests garlanded the Martyr’s Memorial and Miner’s Statue. On this occasion, the security oath was read by the chief guest which was repeated by all present. In the program, tribute was paid to the deceased laborers by observing two minutes silence. “Suraksha Se Samridhi Booklet” was released by the guests on the stage and the Suraksha Rath was flagged off with the aim of increasing safety awareness in the mining areas of SECL. On this occasion, a play was staged on the theme of “Safety” by the Jamuna Kotma area team in which the message was given to follow all safety standards while working in the mine.
