Raipur – IG Amresh Mishra, Raipur Range, today held a meeting of the supervisory officers and in-charge officers of Mahila Police Station/Cell and Ajak Police Station of the districts of the range in the Office of the Inspector General of Police. Gazetted officers and officers in-charge of districts Raipur, Mahasamund, Balodabazar, Dhamtari and Gariaband and other employees were present in the meeting. In the meeting, a detailed review of pending crimes and complaints related to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and women was done. Instructions were given by the Inspector General of Police to the supervisory officers and officers in charge to quickly resolve crimes and complaints by providing efficient supervision and developing management capacity. Apart from this, instructions were given to treat the complainant sensitively and to involve the parties residing in other states or remote places by using technical resources like video conferencing etc. for meaningful and speedy resolution of the complaints in the Family Counseling Centre. Necessary instructions were given to increase the quality of complaint investigation and consultation and to take legal action. Women Cell officers were instructed to pay special attention to the safety of women and children, prepare an action plan to curb crimes and run public awareness campaigns in educational institutions. The investigating officer was also instructed to take necessary action with a view to solve the problem of the complainant and to take meaningful initiatives so that the victimized women and persons belonging to Scheduled Castes and Tribes receive the relief amount as soon as possible.
