Farmers in Raigarh learn advanced farming techniques through Adani Foundation’s training program

40 farmers from Raigarh visit Sitapur Krishi Vigyan Kendra for practical training


Focus on advanced crop cultivation techniques and effective pesticide use


Raigarh । Farmers from various villages in Raigarh district are embracing modern agricultural practices through a one-day training and exposure visit organized by the Adani Foundation. The program aimed to educate farmers about innovative farming techniques to enhance crop productivity and improve quality.

As part of this initiative, 40 farmers from the villages of Dholnara, Saraithola, Mudagaon, Chitwahi, Bajramuda, Pata, Kunjemura, and Bandhapali visited the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) located in Sitapur, Surguja district on Wednesday. This training session was conducted under the community welfare initiatives of Gare Pelma III Collieries Ltd. and Gare Pelma II Collieries Pvt. Ltd.



During the visit, agricultural expert Santosh Pradhan provided comprehensive training to farmers on various aspects of advanced crop cultivation. Special emphasis was laid on seed production for crops such as bitter gourd, watermelon, pumpkin, peas, and tomatoes. Farmers were also guided on effective farming techniques, crop protection strategies, and the appropriate use of pesticides.

Farmers actively participated in the training and expressed their enthusiasm for adopting these modern methods in their fields. They acknowledged that the knowledge gained would significantly contribute to improving their crop yield and quality.

Farmers appreciated the efforts of the Adani Foundation and expressed hope that similar programs would continue in the future to help local farmers stay updated with modern agricultural innovations.

Under its ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, the Adani Foundation has been actively working in the Tamnara and Pussore blocks of Raigarh district. The foundation’s efforts span across sectors such as education, healthcare, infrastructure development, and livelihood promotion, benefiting over 50,000 people across 35 villages in the region.
