Arvind Tiwari’s report
Durg – Inspector General of Police, Durg Range, Ram Gopal Garg has issued necessary guidelines to the District Superintendent of Police, Durg, Balod and Bemetara regarding the police constable recruitment process. Police constable recruitment process is starting from 16th November 2024, for which the process of issuing admit cards is currently under process. In the past, complaints have been received about anti-social elements misleading the general public/recruitment participants and taking money in the name of getting them appointed in police recruitment or other recruitments. It is necessary to take effective action against such anti-social elements. Since fairness and complete transparency is followed in police constable recruitment. If any such complaint is received against any anti-social element or any policeman in the district, it should be ensured that immediate action is taken. Apart from this, an awareness campaign should also be run in the district to make the citizens aware, in which it should be made clear to the general public that the candidates participating in the recruitment process will be appointed according to their qualifications and efficiency as per the rules. Do not get misled by brokers or anti-social elements who offer any kind of allurement. If a person demands money in the name of recruitment, then it is a serious crime and its information can be immediately given to senior police officers. It should also be made aware that the person giving money in this act is as guilty as the person taking money through corruption in the name of recruitment and there is a provision for criminal action against them. Therefore, in order not to fall into any kind of trap in the name of recruitment, publicity should also be done through social media and newspapers. The Superintendent of Police, Durg and the Chairman of the Recruitment Committee should ensure that the rules are completely followed in the recruitment process and complete fairness and transparency should be ensured in the recruitment
