Bilaspur/Raipur : In a landmark development marking a historic first for Bilaspur, the Chhattisgarh Chamber of Commerce and Industries has appointed Kamal Soni, state president of Chhattisgarh Sarafa Association, as executive president — a post never before held by a Bilaspur representative in the Chamber’s 50-year history.

Kamal Soni has been entrusted with critical responsibilities, including spearheading organisational strategy, driving constitutional amendments, and ensuring coordination across the Chamber’s vast network. This unprecedented recognition has sparked immense pride in Bilaspur’s business circles, with widespread congratulatory messages pouring in to honour Soni’s elevation to one of the state’s top trade positions.

Patron board features eminent names
The Chamber’s patron board includes Shrichand Sundarani, Puranlal Agrawal, Khubchand Parakh, Baldev Singh Bhatia, Shivraj Bhansali, U.N. Agrawal, Maganbhai Patel, and Chaturbhuj Agrawal.

Chairman and vice chairman
The newly announced chairman is Gopal Krishna Agrawal, while Chetan Thaurani takes the role of vice chairman.

Executive presidents team
Joining Kamal Soni on the panel of executive presidents are Radhakishan Sundarani, Rajesh Vaswani, Lalit Jaisingh, Vinay Bajaj, Vikram Singhdeo, and Jaspreet Sajuja.

Chief advisors appointed to the Chamber include Trilokchand Bardia, Saral Modi, Labhchand Bafna, Chhagan Mundra, Sanjay Rungta, Arvind Jain, Rajendra Sharma, Lakhmashi Patel, Kishore Ahuja, Sushil Agrawal, Mohanlal Tejwani, Ashok Malani, Amar Gidwani, Jayantibhai Patel, Chander Vidhani, Vijay Mukim, Gurjeet Singh Sandhu, Vinod Talreja, and Deepak Raheja.

President’s statement
President Satish Thaurani emphasised that the appointment of Kamal Soni as executive president reflects the Chamber’s commitment to inclusivity and recognition of Bilaspur’s growing prominence.
