Accused of breaking into house at night and committing theft and murder entered jail

Rajnandgaon – Within just six hours, the thief accused of breaking into the house at night and murdering the landlord while trying to catch the thief after hearing the noise, was duly arrested by Chichola Chowki Police and presented in the Honorable Court, from where he was arrested. Sent to jail on judicial remand. While disclosing this theft and murder case in the press conference organized in the public dialogue room located in the police control room, Additional Superintendent of Police Rahul Dev Sharma said that last day on November 16, at around 7.15 am, the informantNarottam Sahu was going to find laborers to work in the fields. On the way, when he came across Ramkumar Sahu’s house, his door was open and he called out, “Uncle, what are you doing?” When he did not get any response, he went inside his house and saw that Ramkumar Sahu was lying on the ground in a limp condition with blood oozing from his body. Then he immediately told this to the villagers, when everyone went and saw that he had died, about which they informed the police post Chichola. Senior officers were informed about the incident by Sub Inspector Sumendra Khare, the officer in charge of police post Chichola. On which SDOP under the guidance of Additional Superintendent of Police Rajnandgaon Rahul Dev Sharma on the instructions of Superintendent of Police Rajnandgaon Mohit Garg. Under the supervision of Dongargarh Ashish Kunjam, Chhuriya police station O.P. A joint team of Chichola and Cyber Cell was formed and instructions were given to take immediate action. On which Cyber Cell, FSL, in-charge of police post Chichola. And after giving immediate information to the dog squad, all the teams reached the spot and saw that the death of deceased Ramkumar appeared to be due to injury and murder by some unknown person. After investigation based on the report of informant Narottam Sahu, the deceased was found to have been murdered, under section 103(1) of BNS against unknown accused. The crime was registered and taken under investigation. During the investigation, Sajwant Chandravanshi father of the same village, about five hundred meters away, was found following the scent of the suspect obtained from the spot by the trained dog “Dular (Belgian Shepherd)” of dog squad’s trained dog handler constable Ajay Verma. Inside the house of beggar Chandravanshi resident AmlidihEntered and started pulling the sheet of Sajwant’s bed. Due to which, on the basis of suspicion, the address of Sajwant Chandravanshi was searched, who was out of the house. Which is called Cyber Cell and OP. Chichola’s team cordoned off the farm, took him into custody and interrogated the suspect strictly in front of witnesses. During interrogation, the suspect told in his statement that on 15th November at 11.30 pm, the deceased had entered Ramkumar’s house to commit theft. During the theft, the deceased was sleeping who woke up after hearing the sound and started catching him by shouting ‘thief-thief’. Then, fearing that he would be caught, with the intention of killing the deceased, he kept the Basula in the house of the deceased, hit the deceased with a hoe and then cut his throat and wrist vein with the blade he kept with him. Even then the deceased was breathing, so they tightly strangulated the deceased with the nylon rope kept nearby until he died. After the death of the deceased, he ran away from there with the stolen money, ax and hoe. The basula and spade were thrown into the pond of the village itself. Said to keep the money hidden in a box in his house, the accused confessed to committing the crime. On which, on the witness stand of the accused Sajwant Chandravanshi, the blood stained cloth worn by the accused at the time of the incident and the stolen Rs 2550 were taken out from the box of the house and presented by the accused in front of the witnesses from the peg of his house. The ax and spade used in the incident were recovered from the pond of Amlidih with the help of a diver in the presence of witnesses at the suspicion of the accused. Due to sufficient evidence being found against accused Sajwant Chandravanshi, crime number 302/2024 Section 103(1) IPC was registered in Chhuriya police station. It has been registered and taken into consideration. Accused Sajwant Chandravanshi is being legally arrested and presented before the Honorable Court. In the above proceedings, dog squad’s trained dog handler constable Ajay Verma’s trained dog “Dular (Belgian Shepherd)”, police station in-charge Churia inspector Santosh Bhuarya and police station Churia. Staff, Incharge Police Post Sub InspectorSumendra Khare and Chichola police staff and in-charge cyber cell inspector Mr. Vinay Pammar and the cyber cell team played an important role.
