Absconding accused of stealing temple donation box and jewelery entered jail

Janjgir Champa – Janjgir police station duly arrested the accused who had been absconding for a long time after stealing the donation box and jewelery of the Maa Manka Dai temple situated in nearby Khokhra, and presented him in the honorable court, from where he was sent to jail on judicial remand. Earlier, four accused in the case have been arrested and sent to jail on judicial remand.
According to the information received in this regard from the Police Media Group, the applicant Hanuman Rathore, resident of village Khokhra police station, Janjgir, had filed a report that in the intervening night of 15th-16th March 2024, a donation box was stolen from the premises of Maa Manka Dai Temple by an unknown thief. The cash amount of about one lakh rupees kept inside and a silver pot and Dalda’s karadhaan were stolen. On the basis of the report, crime number 239/2024 section 457, 380 IPC was registered against the unknown accused in Janjgir police station and taken up for investigation. Taking seriously the incident of theft of donation box in the temple, under the direction of Vivek Shukla (IPS), Superintendent of Police, Janjgir-Champa and under the guidance of Rajendra Kumar Jaiswal, Additional Superintendent of Police, Janjgir Champa, a cyber team/team was formed from the police station Janjgir level to trace the accused. was done byThe search was on to trace the unknown accused and the stolen Mashrooka. Earlier during the investigation, on the basis of technical information, information was received about the accused being in Bargarh (Orissa). In the case, the accused, Meghu Bisar, resident of Bonda police station, Barhaguda, district Bargarh (Orissa), Shiv Lal Behara, resident of village Sigiddi, Barpali police station, Bargarh (Orissa), Manoranjan Seth, left for Bargarh (Orissa) with testimony for the recovery of stolen goods and identification of the suspects. Resident village Kanwar police station Barpali district Bargarh(Orissa) and Kirti Panchbhaya resident of Village Tura Ward No. 07 Ghasia Para Police Station Bargarh Town District Bargarh (Orissa) after interrogating them separately, memorandum statement was recorded. After the accused admitted their crime of causing the above incident, two pieces of motor cycle, four pieces of black colored mask and cash amount of Rs 50700 used in the incident were recovered and the accused were duly arrested and sent on judicial remand on 29 March 2024. The accused in the case, Angad Mirgha, resident of Khamsara police station, Barpali district, Bargarh (Orissa), who had absconded after the incident, was being continuously tracked by the police. He was caught on the basis of an informer’s information and when interrogated in connection with the theft, he admitted to committing the incident along with his associates. From his possession, Rs 2000 in cash, the distribution amount of the stolen property, was recovered. After finding evidence of serious crime, Janjgir police duly arrested the accused and presented him in the Honorable Court, from where he was sent to jail on judicial remand and the investigation in the case is going on.
