Korba/Raipur : In a strong show of commitment to educational upliftment, Adani Foundation has equipped over 21 government schools across Korba and Kartala blocks with essential infrastructure and learning materials, directly benefiting more than 1,300 students. The initiative, part of Adani Korba Power Limited’s 2024–25 social responsibility outreach, aims to promote equity in education and create better learning environments for rural students.

Covering ten villages including Patari, Khoddl, Pahanda, Darrabhanta, Dhandhani, Risdihapara, Urga, Devermal, and Sargabundia, the project delivered 220 desks and benches to 14 primary, 4 middle, and 3 higher secondary schools, ensuring improved seating and classroom comfort. Additionally, RO water coolers were installed in 15 schools to provide clean, safe drinking water, reducing the risk of waterborne diseases.

To further support students, the foundation distributed school bags, notebooks, compasses, and stationery supplies to 1,322 children, creating a more encouraging and resourceful academic atmosphere.

Local panchayat leaders, sarpanches, elected representatives, school principals, and teachers praised Adani Foundation’s efforts, calling it a vital step in advancing education and youth development across the region.

Beyond Korba, Adani Group operates wide-ranging social development initiatives across six districts in Chhattisgarh, including Raipur, Sarguja, Durg, Balodabazar-Bhatapara, and Bilaspur. Notably, in Sarguja’s tribal-majority Udaipur, Adani Foundation provides free online coaching for Joint Engineering and Medical entrance exams, empowering local youth with access to quality preparation.

The foundation also runs skill development centres offering livelihood courses to women and young people, promoting self-reliance. In addition, more than 1,000 tribal children receive free, high-quality English-medium education at Adani Vidya Mandir, which includes nutritious meals, uniforms, books, notebooks, and school bags.

These multi-pronged efforts reaffirm Adani Foundation’s long-term mission to drive inclusive development, improve educational outcomes, and create sustainable change for underprivileged communities in Chhattisgarh and beyond.
