Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai Pays Tribute to Freedom Fighter Madhusudan Das

Raipur । On the occasion of Utkal Divas, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai paid tribute to the great freedom fighter and barrister Madhusudan Das by garlanding his statue at Mahila Thana Chowk (Madhusudan Das Chowk) in Raipur.

Extends Best Wishes to Utkal Community and Odisha Residents

The Chief Minister extended his heartfelt greetings to the Utkal community and Odia people across the country on Odisha’s Foundation Day (Utkal Divas). He stated that this day is not just a celebration of Odisha’s formation but also a symbol of struggle, self-pride, and cultural unity. He acknowledged the significant presence of the Utkal community in Chhattisgarh, which strengthens the state’s social harmony and diversity.

Honoring the Legacy of Barrister Madhusudan Das

Shri Sai emphasized that it was due to the vision and relentless efforts of leaders like Madhusudan Das that Odisha was established as a separate state on April 1, 1936. He highlighted the deep-rooted cultural and social ties between Chhattisgarh and Odisha, mentioning that the rice offered as Mahaprasad to Lord Jagannath in Puri is sourced from Chhattisgarh, particularly from the Devbhog region, symbolizing the enduring religious bond between the two states.

Prayers for the Well-being of Chhattisgarh’s People

The Chief Minister sought the blessings of Lord Jagannath for the prosperity, peace, and well-being of the people of Chhattisgarh, expressing his belief that divine grace would always remain upon the state.

The event was attended by MLA Shri Kiran Dev, MLA Shri Purandar Mishra, MLA Shri Sunil Soni, Mayor Smt. Meenal Chaubey, Speaker Shri Suryakant Rathore, Shri Sanjay Srivastava, members of the Utkal community, and a large gathering of dignitaries and citizens.
