In a twist bound to spark controversy, several SPS officers who were shunted to remote regions like Bastar and Surguja during the early days of new BJP regime in Chhattisgarh, are now set to make a surprising comeback. These officers, previously sidelined for their alleged proximity to the former Congress government, are reportedly in line for plum and sensitive postings in major districts, including the capital, as part of an impending reshuffle.
The reshuffle includes around 30 SPS officers, comprising Additional Superintendents of Police (ASPs) and Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs). Sources reveal that the transfer list was signed two nights ago, with several officers recommended for critical roles—ensuring this development will spark heated debates.
Adding to the intrigue, TI-ranked officers will also see fresh postings in this round. Similar reshuffles in December—on 12 and 27 December 2024—already caused internal chaos and criticism, leading to senior officials facing reprimands. This upcoming list seems set to follow the same controversial trajectory.
Signed couple of days ago, the final list is expected to be made public anytime, setting the stage for another wave of political and administrative drama.
