Raipur : Addressing widespread misconceptions surrounding astrology and Vastu, Astro Rinku Agrawal, Founder of Celestial Insight and a senior astrology and Vastu consultant, asserted that astrology and Vastu should be viewed not as superstition but as practical tools for life management and balance. She was speaking at a press conference held on Saturday at Dharma Niranjan Dharamshala in Raipur.

During the interaction with the media, Ms. Agrawal explained that astrology and Vastu complement each other. “Astrology reflects the timing and planetary phases operating in a person’s life, while Vastu governs the environment in which a person lives and works,” she said. She added that even if planetary periods are unfavourable, residing or working in a Vastu-balanced space can significantly reduce negative effects. Proper Vastu, she noted, contributes to mental stability, positive thinking and improved decision-making.
On the debate between science and superstition, Ms. Agrawal clarified that directions, natural light, openness and energy balance have a direct impact on human psychology. “Positive energy and natural light, especially from directions like the north-east, enhance efficiency and mental peace,” she said. Similarly, she explained, planetary positions influence behaviour, emotional balance and decision-making processes, which can be understood through experience and logical analysis.
Speaking on the challenges of modern urban living, she observed that most people today reside in apartments or rented homes where structural changes are not feasible. “Even without demolition or reconstruction, effective Vastu remedies are possible,” she said, citing correct furniture placement, balanced lighting, appropriate colour selection and minor directional adjustments in daily use as simple measures that can bring positive changes in life.
Elaborating on the role of destiny and action, Ms. Agrawal said that life is not entirely predetermined by stars alone. “Planetary periods, environment and an individual’s actions together shape life’s direction,” she said. According to her, Vastu creates a supportive environment that enables a person to make the right efforts and choices. “Vastu does not claim to change destiny, but it prepares individuals to seize better opportunities,” she added.
She also cautioned people against the growing trend of fraud and deception in the name of astrology and Vastu. Warning against fear-based practices, she said that those who induce fear and promise instant miracles through expensive gemstones or instruments should be avoided. “A genuine expert always offers logical analysis and practical solutions,” she emphasised.
Concluding her address, Ms. Agrawal said that society today needs astrology and Vastu rooted in balance and solutions, not fear and blind belief.
