Adani Foundation celebrates International Women’s Day with grand felicitation event

Raipur । Marking the spirit of empowerment, equality, and self-reliance, Adani Foundation in association with Adani Power Limited, Raipur, organized a grand celebration on the occasion of International Women’s Day at Tilda village. The event aimed to honor women for their valuable contributions to society and motivate them towards continued excellence. In a remarkable gesture, 120 women, including 22 members from the Social Responsibility Department and other members of the Adani Mahila Club, were felicitated for their outstanding contributions to social development and organizational growth.



The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from local women, who showcased their cultural richness through captivating performances. The women from RIPA Garment Center stole the spotlight with their traditional Chhattisgarhi folk presentation, leaving the audience spellbound. Adding further charm to the event, children also performed vibrant cultural acts, painting the celebration with colors of joy and unity. A specially curated women-centric theme song was also presented, paying homage to the remarkable role of women in societal development.

In her address, Sunita Vaidya, the chief guest of the event, extended her heartfelt wishes to the women and encouraged them to advance in their respective fields by developing their skills and embracing financial independence. Srikant Vaidya, Station Head, Adani Power Limited, appreciated the ongoing efforts of the Adani Foundation in fostering women empowerment and underscored the significance of driving such initiatives with amplified force.

The event also marked the reaffirmation of Adani Foundation’s commitment towards strengthening women-led community development. “Our mission is to enable women to become self-reliant and carve their own identity in society. We will continue to amplify our efforts towards women empowerment through consistent initiatives,” said the HR Head of Adani Power Limited while expressing gratitude to all attendees.

Adding to the cultural vibrancy, the women also participated in traditional games like fugdi, jalebi race, and matka-breaking competitions, making the celebration even more memorable. Winners were honored with prizes sponsored by the Adani Foundation, recognizing their spirit and enthusiasm.

In a broader commitment towards community development, Adani Foundation continues to lead impactful initiatives in health, education, and livelihood enhancement across 12 villages, including Raikheda, Bhathapara, Gaithara, Khapri, Chicholi, Mura, Moharenga, Gaurakheda, Tarashiv, Chatod, Konari, and Khamharia. The foundation has been actively running free Navodaya coaching centers to provide educational support to talented children aiming for admission into Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, along with initiatives for quality healthcare and skill development.
