Kargi/Road/Kota : The Muslim community in Kota and surrounding villages observed the 1500th birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad with grand processions, locally known as Juloos-e-Mohammadi. Hundreds of people from the city and nearby rural areas participated in the celebrations, demonstrating unity and devotion.

The procession began at 10 a.m. from the mosque compound and proceeded through major city roads, including Chandi Mata Chowk, Bus Stand, Mahashakti Chowk, Jai Stambh Naka Chowk, Mauhar Khar, Ram Mandir, Tehsil, Post Office, Railway Station, before returning to the mosque. During the march, community members organized refreshments, sweets, fruits, and biscuits, which were distributed among participants of all ages as prasad.

In a prelude to the main procession, on September 4, young members of the Kota Muslim Jamaat, led by Mohammad Javed Khan, conducted a bicycle rally. The rally featured a modified vehicle decorated with lights, Islamic flags in green, red, and blue, and the Indian national flag, symbolizing cultural harmony. The rally followed the city’s main thoroughfares and concluded at Masjid Para.

The community also expressed gratitude to the Kota Police for maintaining traffic and ensuring smooth management of the processions amid intermittent heavy rainfall.

The celebrations highlighted not only religious devotion but also community coordination, with people across generations actively participating in the festivities and traditional observances.
