Capacity Building Commission (CBC) in collaboration with the Chhattisgarh government and IGOT on Tuesday organized a one-day workshop on Development of Capacity Building Plans (CBPs) for the government departments of the state of Chhattisgarh at IIIT, Naya Raipur. This is third such workshop held after Jammu and Kashmir and Madhya Pradesh. The Workshop was inaugurated by Chairperson of CBC Smt S Radha Chauhan, Chief Secretary of Chhattisgarh Shri. Vikas Sheel, Smt Chandralekha Mukherjee, Principal Advisor, CBC and Additional Chief Secretary for Home & Jail in Chhattisgarh Shri Manoj Kumar Pingua.
Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. S Radha Chauhan, Chairperson, CBC said that Training Institutes are critical to the success of Mission Karmayogi. She emphasised that Training Institutes need to stand out to meet the bigger challenges, adding that they need to reimagine, revamp and re-define their roles in the ever evolving training eco-system, where Artificial Intelligence is playing an important role. She added that training needs to be dynamic focusing on learning, unlearning and re-learning. The Chairperson highlighted the significance of human element that needs to play its role in meeting the aim of citizen-centric governance for Viksit Bharat, within the overall technology-driven environment. She also added that in order to achieve the target of Viksit Bharat 2047 the public servants needs to be ‘Future Ready’ and for readying for the future we need to be ‘Present Ready’ and thus the IGOT karmayogi plays an important part in making us ready for the Future and thus in a way helps our country to achieve the growth and milestones as is the vision of our Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi.
In his speech Chief Secretary of Chhattisgarh Shri. Vikas Sheel highlighted how the State Government’s vision for “Viksit Chhattisgarh @2047” is reshaping the whole governance with the use of Information Technology. Shri. Vikas Sheel added that all the officerss in the district level offices will start E-office from Januaray 2026 and also aadhar based biometric attendances. He emphasized on Mid carrier level training and use of the AI-enabled Capacity Building Plan (CBP) tool to cater to the needs of the officers as per their duties and responsibilities.
Smt Chandralekha Mukherjee, Principal Advisor, CBC informed that on boarding the IGOT platform is increasing in the state of Chhattisgarh with each passing day and today it is over 61000 and expected to be completed by January 2026.
Over 100 officers from various departments participated in the workshop and three departments of state government i.e Panchayat and Rural development, Women and Child Development and Transport department also made presentations about their journey of using the IGOT AI tool and recognizing the competencies that are required for a particular job role at different levels of the concerned department.
