Bilaspur । 14 January 2025: Kamal Soni, President of the Chhattisgarh Sarafa Association, was honoured with the prestigious Chhattisgarh Ratna award at the Business Expo held in Bilaspur. Soni’s leadership and commitment earned him an overwhelming 70% victory in the Association’s elections, which represents 92 members across all 33 districts of the state.
In the 2024 elections, Soni campaigned under the banner “Hum Sab Ek Hain” (We Are All One), aiming to bring transformative changes across regions from Bastar to Ambikapur and Raigarh to Rajnandgaon. His tenure of just 7–8 months has already showcased significant improvements within the association.
Known for his affable personality, Soni also serves as President of the Bilaspur Sarafa Association, where his two-year tenure has been hailed as inspirational and successful. A trained CAD professional, Soni once aspired to join the police force, having cleared the PET examination, but later shifted his focus to religious, social, commercial, and political endeavours.
Speaking on the honour, Soni said, “Awards like these serve as a constant reminder of my responsibilities and inspire me to continue working with enthusiasm in religious, social, commercial, and political fields.”
Soni is actively involved in religious and social organisations, including the Shri Shyam Mandir Trust, Krishna Goshala Trust, Shri Jeen Mata Mandir Trust, and Shri Hardevlal Bhagwati Mandir Committee. He also holds the position of Secretary in the Sarva Soni Samaj, Chhattisgarh, and has previously served in key roles within the Marwari Soni community.
Politically, Soni’s journey began during his youth with a successful college election campaign. Currently, he serves as the Office Minister of the BJP’s Madhya Mandal under the guidance of senior leader Amar Agrawal and is committed to working in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision.
Acknowledging his outstanding contributions, Soni has been felicitated by Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, Deputy CM Arun Sao, Minister Dharamlal Kaushik, and MLAs Amar Agrawal and Sushant Shukla.
